Our Process
Our Process
We’d say there’s a certain “je ne sais quoi” to our Wagyu beef, but we know exactly what makes us different. And you can taste it. Our hand-picked herd of 100% pure black Wagyu cattle is pasture-raised, grass-fed, never given growth hormones, steroids, or unnecessary antibiotics, and treated like family. In house, we conduct the research on how to help them be their most nutritious while living happily and freely in an stress-free environment on our pastures in the grasslands of Luling, Texas.
Every cow in our herd is grass-fed, pasture-raised, and grain-finished. That means our cattle spend the first part of their lives eating wild grass in the pastures, followed by a carefully balanced diet of nutritious grains (barley, oats, corn) to help them stay happy and healthy.
We raised a new generation of 100% full-blood black Wagyu on our humane ranch in Luling, Texas.
Our beef is 100% unadulterated, full-blood Wagyu. It's not a cross-breed with any other cattle breed, like many American Wagyu companies sell.

We currently ship to addresses within the United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska) and orders will arrive 1-3 days after shipping.
We also offer local pickup or drop-off for orders over $75 if you are located near Austin, San Antonio, Seguin, Lockhart or Luling, Texas.
We ship our cuts frozen in individually vacuum sealed packages placed in a thermal-insulated box. Depending on order size and travel time, we will use dry ice or gel packs. Orders should arrive frozen, partially thawed, or thawed but cold, depending on the time in transit.
As soon as your Long Hill Wagyu package arrives, put the beef directly in your freezer to maintain quality and safety. Always store frozen beef in a freezer at a temperature below 32°F (0°C).
When ready to use, thaw the beef in the refrigerator, not at room temperature, to prevent bacterial growth. If you need to thaw it quickly, place the sealed package in cold water, changing the water every 30 minutes.
Once thawed, cook the beef within 24 hours. Never refreeze thawed beef to avoid compromising its texture and safety.
